I wish I could give 2.5 stars for this experience. The car itself was totally fine and drivable no complaints about the cars functionality. However, my issue that causes for the low rating is that the car was dirty internally with crumbs in the cup holder, dirt in the passenger seat, miscellaneous things like dog toys and a the flap that goes in the back of the station wagon were on the backseat. I did not need to use the backseat for other passengers but seeing the clutter and mess was not pleasant. Not to mention the gas tank was a little under half way full - not ideal for a 24 hour day trip rental. And the promised USB function was not working - no way to charge a phone for long trips either. Unless I couldnโt figure it out, but I did buy another car charger to see if it would work better but it appears the port to plug it in does not work. Followed by the outside of the car being dirty as well. Shout out to Drive Mate for handling this situation with me. I did not want to be responsible for vacuuming or washing a car when itself was not at a presentable clean state at the beginning. I did fill up the tank and returned it with more petrol than I left with. Renting a car should not mean you take on the responsibility of making the car look better than it started with especially when their penalty rules are returning it clean. Why should I clean the car when itโs not my mess?

Great car. Was a bit dirty upon entry with grass and bits of mud. The rate for distance travelled should be slightly less in my opinion.

Easy to use and economical car. We were on the way to pick up a car on Xmas morning to drive to family dinner and it was cancelled last minute and we were able to get this car within 20 mins . Instructions were easy and cars simple to drive.

Carly was a fantastic host - very responsive and helpful when DriveMates platform had numerous issues. She helped in raising and sorting the issues from her end too and was very supportive as a host. The car is a great zippy thing with loads of boot space and good blue tooth and cruise functions.

Great car! Super easy to use and book. PS: there is no automatic door locking with the keyless system with this car. Please be aware to lock through the app before ending the trip or youโll be stuck like me :)
