Hello, I'm Daniel.
We started our car rental journey with Drive Mate (prev Uber CarShare) with a simple goal: to provide our community with reliable, well-serviced cars that people can depend on—without breaking the bank. What’s kept us going is knowing that we’ve made a difference, reflected in the trust our customers have shown us, with 798 positive reviews out of 800. Good little car but engine light came on
Banned user•August 2026•
Great reliable vehicle, the location was easy to find, and it was an overall great experience, this is the second time I've rented Daniels cars and I've had no problems, I recommend
Jayne•August 2026•
Rrsponsive and great host..Good car for what was needed few bumps and scratches but overall realiable and efficient suited our needs. Thanks Daniel
Toni•August 2026•
Overall, the car was drivable and got the job done, but it was in rougher condition than I expected. It had quite a few scratches on the exterior, and the front left bumper was noticeably damaged. The car also wasn’t particularly clean when I picked it up, with dust on the outside and some wear and tear inside. Mechanically, it drove fine, although a temperature warning light came on at one point, and the car tended to pull slightly to the left while driving. If you’re looking for the cheapest option, it’s probably acceptable. However, considering the small price difference compared to other rental cars, I’d probably choose a different option next time.

Great. David is an amazing host

Great host, great little car, easy to access! Wish we could have rented it longer :D

Why did I get charged extra 120
June•July 2026•
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this vehicle based on my experience. The owner was polite, contacted me to apologise, and tried to offer additional rental days at a discounted rate, which I appreciate. However, that doesn’t change the fact that the vehicle was not in an acceptable condition when it was handed over. The key was already damaged, with the plastic casing separating from the metal key. More seriously, while driving on the M1 in heavy rain, the driver’s windscreen wiper detached completely, creating a significant safety risk. The car also wasn’t particularly clean and showed signs that it hadn’t been properly prepared before the rental. Overall, I don’t believe this vehicle met the standard I expected for a rental, especially when safety is involved. I hope these issues are addressed before it is rented to someone else.

Great host, I have driven one of your other cars previously. So convenient!
Kristi•June 2026•
Fuel tank cap is missing and it making trip expensive. I driver 90km and needed to fill-up 9.5 liters... Not ecemonical for manual car. I think fuel is spilling out when driving. New fuel tank cap to be installed.

Daniel was very prompt in responding. Car had cosmetic damages but did not give me any issue during my trip of the day. Runs well. Considering its age and price I am happy to rent again.

I was generally satisfied with my experience, but the car was not clean when I received it. Other than that, there were no issues. Also, it would be great if a phone holder could be placed inside the car. Apart from this, the car usage, Drive Mate, and the owner’s communication were very fast and solution-oriented.

The host was very helpful when it come to the location after drive mate gave me the wrong location and helped resolve that issue. Car was a great lil car to drive and I would use it again. Only issue I had is the battery went flat whilst out and waiting for a period...

Easy and simple. The app crashed when I was picking up the car. But the guys on the helpdesk managed to sort everything out. Totally awesome Car was great value for money. Simple and easy.

shanna•January 2026•
It was a great trip
Rikuto•January 2026•
Car on Pick up was not cleaned and the petrol was a little under the quarter mark. I know for a fact that this is not Daniel’s expectation as I have hired this car before. Furthermore I was hit with a large bill for kms driven - also news to me as I’ve never had to pay this before. Even with local driving it was extreme. Glad to say this prompted me just to buy myself a damn car lol.

Simone•November 2025•
Car great, nice little run around. But dont like Drive Mate app, long and drawn out. On collection i had trouble loaing photos and rang customer services. I found the lady hard to understand accent and she did seem a bit rude, but perhaps thats a cultural thing. Shall not use app again Sorry Daniel, no issue with you.
Helen•November 2025•
Good car and easy to drive. Bit dirty as other review said
Marina•October 2025•
I conveniently picked up the Suzi on the same day as booking. That is probably why it was not clean (in or out) and the tank was 3/4 full. It did not unlock on pick up (fault of the app) so I called customer service and they opened it for me after sending them photos. Drop off was fine. The car is great for zipping around Brisbane. It has a lot of dings but that didn't matter to us.
Joolz•October 2025•

The host was amazing and was very easy to deal with and extend the booking the only bad thing is that I thought would have got a discount as when I picked up the car there was a note on window anout someone hitting it and it was damaged carnt open drivers door from out side a
