Useful size of van and drives ok but the aircon doesn’t work at all - blows only hot air - and it had been left very dirty including mouldy banana peels int he footwells. Wouldn’t use again in summer as it was like driving a sauna.

We rented this car for a 5‑day trip and were extremely disappointed with both the condition of the vehicle and the support we received. From the start the car smelled strongly of cigarettes and there was cigarette trash left inside, which was really unpleasant and made the whole journey uncomfortable. The dashboard warning symbols were also not working properly, and two warning lights were blinking the entire time, indicating there were existing problems with the car that had not been fixed. On top of that, one of the windows was clearly broken and had been badly glued before. It kept sliding down by itself while we were driving, meaning we constantly had to pull over to push it back up by hand. This was not only frustrating but also unsafe, especially on the motorway and in bad weather, as anyone could have broken into the car and the noise and wind made driving almost unbearable. Overall, we paid for a service that did not meet our expectations in the slightest. The car was dirty, smelled of smoke, appeared poorly maintained and unsafe.

Pickup etc was all fine but the car itself was in very poor condition. A warning light was on from the very start. Several times an alert came up to bring to garage immediately. There was no power or acceleration in the vehicle which actually made it dangerous pulling off from stops and joining freeways. I find it hard to believe that this car has a roadworthy certificate

First time Drivemate user and will definitely try again! The process seems too simple to be true but it was great! Smoothest ride. No aircon and it was very hot, but we made it. There is no windshield washer fluid so the bugs and rain got a bit overwhelming at times. The van was great on gas mileage and very easy to drive. Lots of space! The back up camera is not working properly, and you may want to look into freshening up those brake pads, but a great experience overall. Thank you!

The air conditioning doesn’t cool properly on hot days, and it’s especially uncomfortable because of the leather seats. The car makes various noises. The front right speaker is crackling and usually doesn’t work, and then suddenly it works for a few seconds and stops again.

Could be a great car but it has not been cared for in a while, it needs wheel alignment, the noise while idling is very loud, and car rattles (?,) glovebox is held together by zip tie. Also could do with a good clean and windscreen wipers needs to be looked at, they squeak when on.

We had an issue with getting the car unlocked halfway into the trip due to it being parked in an underground car park therefore we couldnt connect to the wifi to unlock the car. Host went out of his way to bring a spare key to us the following morning so that we could unlocl the car. Appreciate host doing that.

Car was readily available and got me from A to B. The air-conditioning doesn't work which was a nuisance especially during peak summer. The window washer was empty and there were no instructions on how to open the bonnet to fill up the water tank so was annoying to wash the windscreen at the servo when it was dusty or dirty. The car was showing it needs a service and there is a rear light out on the reverse lights. I read that this was the same before hiring the car although this was not fixed. Overall the car was easy to locate and easy to drive.

Car sadly not as described. Air conditioning does not work at all and needs a complete regassing to make this car drive able in summer. Petrol gauge also showing empty when car collected. If the air conditioning worked it would be a good drive but without that would only recommend renting this car in winter.

Host is really responsive and the car drives and handles well. Clean out and inside. Was thrown off for a little bit due to AirTag notifications popping on my phone and work tablet. If you’re big on privacy check first before booking and for host to notify the renters if the tracking device . It’s for insurance purposes but a warning to the renter will be appreciated:)
