the worst car rental experience I have ever had. The issues were serious and numerous: 1. Broken passenger window control: This is not just a minor inconvenience; it’s a blatant sign of poor vehicle maintenance. 2. Non-functional air conditioning: In the heat, this failure was an absolute insult to the customer. A car without working air conditioning should not even be available for rent. 3. Loose steering wheel: This is unacceptable and extremely dangerous. Driving a car in such a condition puts the driver’s life and everyone else on the road at serious risk. Frankly, renting out a car in this condition is not only irresponsible but outright reckless. This service shows zero concern for the safety or comfort of its customers. I wouldn’t recommend this car. Immediate action must be taken to address this situation and prevent anyone else from going through such a dreadful experience!

Car was located in a different suburb than stated in the original listing. When I arrived at the car it looked like it had been abandoned (extremely dirty with a build up of leaves etc.) and it wouldn't open through the app, so I wasn't able to start the trip. Host was responsive however since this was an issue with Drive Mate tech he wasn't able to help and I wasn't able to start the trip. The Drive Mate customer service are slow to respond and do not answer phonecalls. When they do respond via the app they are vague and unhelpful and will give any excuse to avoid giving a refund. Nearly a week later and no sign of a refund from them. Avoid booking through this company.

I was not able to use the vehicle intended. I tried contacting the host and DriveMate support. The vehicle was found with a driver window open and a wet seat. I was not able to start the car. I was offered to wait for roadside assistance which was up to two hours, I couldn't wait that long to have a vehicle to work. I have been charged the amount without any other communication. Hopefully the next time this car is booked, the next individual will have a better experience.

Car ran well up to 105km/hr was a little shaky at 110km/hr (but still did it). Car could do with a wash and a vacuum, would probably be better off not parking under a tree as that is what caused most of the leaves, bird poo etc. Overall good experience, and for this price and convenient location I would rent again.
